Accessibility statement

We build this site to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and we want to hear from you when we fall short of it.

Last updated: 12 August 2026

We work with Australian government agencies, who are required to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA under the Digital Service Standard. We hold our own website and the systems we build to the same bar, and we target WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the current version of the standard.

What we have done

  • Semantic HTML structure with a single main landmark, correctly ordered headings, and skip-to-content navigation.
  • Full keyboard operability, including navigation menus, filters and forms, with visible focus indicators throughout.
  • Colour contrast that meets or exceeds AA for body text, interface text and non-text indicators.
  • Text that reflows without loss of content at 400% zoom and on small viewports.
  • Form fields with programmatically associated labels, inline error messaging, and errors announced to assistive technology.
  • Reduced-motion support: animation and smooth scrolling are disabled when your system requests it.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology.

Known limitations

Some documents published before this site was rebuilt may not be fully accessible. Where a PDF is not accessible, we will provide the content in an alternative format on request. We are working through our back catalogue.

Tell us about a barrier

If you encounter something on this site that you cannot use, we want to know. It is a defect and we will treat it as one. Email contact@blackmountainai.com.au with the page address and a short description of the problem, and we will acknowledge it within two business days.

If you need information from this site in an alternative format, ask us and we will provide it.
